An affiliate
program is a system in which a company pays
you for sending customers to their offer.
In most cases, online, you will send prospective
customers to a specific link, and if they
purchase something through that link, you
will earn.
Normally the company pays you a percentage
of the sale, but in some cases you may find
a set amount that you will make for each
sale; as you look at different affiliate
programs, you will see that each
compensation plan differs from the next.
Free and ‘not free’
affiliate programs…
Many affiliate programs are free to join;
others may cost, and some may even have
a paid, and a free compensation plan. You
will find many variations on this.
I recommend starting with free programs,
but don’t get me wrong; there are
many great paid programs out there. Once
you’ve had a chance to experiment,
you will find that some programs will work
for you while others will not; save your
money for promoting until you know how to
pick out programs that are right for you.
