It
is important for the web sites that you promote
to actually convert a visitor into a customer.
If you’re
not sending visitors to a well converting
site, you’re wasting your time sending
traffic.
I’ll go into detail for a moment
and show you how calculate conversion
rate...
The basic process goes like this:
1. Sales divided by visitors
2. Move the decimal to the right, twice.
So here we go, say you have 200 unique
visitors and 5 of them purchased. You divide
5/200; the answer is .025 – now move
the decimal right twice. You get 2.5. That’s
2.5%.
A 2.5%
conversion rate is very good and 1% is completely
normal; work to keep at or above a 1% conversion
rate. Also, 3% is a reason to say WOW.
With a highly targeted market you may be
able to achieve much more impressive results;
track your marketing.
