When choosing
an affiliate program to promote, take notice
of when they send the money.
Most companies pay their affiliates once
a month and I’ve seen programs that
pay twice a month as well; also, I have
come across programs that pay you every
few months and programs that pay you each
time you reach a certain amount of commission.
I guess it really
doesn’t matter when they pay as long
as they’re paying; it’s up to
you.
Many affiliate programs will require that
you earn a certain amount of commission
before you can receive your check (this
is called a ‘payout
threshold’); don’t let
this make you feel uneasy unless the amount
is unreasonable.
Since you really
plan on earning, the minimum shouldn’t
be a big deal.
