Getting paid…over and over…
Income that comes back regularly is called residual income. This money that comes back over and over is one of the most powerful income streams to be found. Generally, you get residual income from referring customers to subscriptions or anything that they pay for over and over.

Just like how we only sign up for phone service once, but they bill us every month. ‘They’ are earning money residually, every time you pay.

I’ll sum it up like this: Programs that give you a percentage of a monthly or recurring fee will enable you to send them the customer once and then get paid over and over. This is ideal. Residual income is a very nice thing. It comes back over, and over and you only have to sell once.

Most anyone can earn residual income with affiliate programs; or at least anyone that expects to spend time, money and efforts on promotion can. The more customers you refer per month, the more money you earn per month.

It’s a beautiful thing, isn’t it? I think the neatest part is that even if you stop promoting the programs, the residual income that you have already built will continue to come back every month. This will go on for a very long time, and as long as the customers that you initially referred continue to pay, you will continue to earn.

The trick with any affiliate program is to make sure that you are selling to people that actually need it. If someone doesn’t need what you are trying to sell them, then you may come across as a scammer or someone that is just trying to make a buck. That’s not what you want.

You want to gain trusting, repeat customers and help them find tools that will really improve their lives or ‘fulfill their needs’.

If you refer someone to a residual program that isn’t really going to help them, you will be preventing yourself from earning long term income from the sale, because as soon as this person realizes that he or she doesn’t need the service, they'll quit paying for it.

You will quit getting your percentage of their payment.
