There are many
affiliate programs out there that do not
pay you residually; these pay you
for each sell you make. Usually
these programs sell a 'one-time service'
or a product.
You can still make money with individual
commissions, but to be straightforward,
to earn a living or even just make a nice
chunk of extra cash, you are going to have
to promote this stuff on a large scale basis.
Sell Big
When I said ‘large scale’ I
meant this: you’ve got to promote
products with a large price tag or promote
a large amount of low priced items. You
will also find that there is a decent spot
in the middle; products with an intermediate
price and an intermediate demand.
Get out your
calculator. Take a look at how many
of any given product you would have to promote
to make a certain amount of money. You will
see that if sell just one luxury car then
you probably don’t need to sell 10,000
lighters... Note: Don't get me wrong - 10,000
lighters slowly selling - that would be
a nice income stream.
So yeah, big price tag items are what you
want to sell…. Unless…. There
is a wide enough audience that needs a buy
a certain cheaper product to…. I mean
seriously, if you can get 350,000 people
to pay you ‘50 cents each’ for
something, then yeah, you’ll get a
nice income.
How do you
sell big? This
is simple common sense, you
promote the program heavily.
Many affiliates promote multiple programs;
some of the programs pay well and with some,
the trickle can be slow.
