Never underestimate
the power of word of mouth...
A visitor that comes to
your site because someone
that they trust sent them is one
of the best visitors you can have. Possibly
the best!
I’ve got a simple
example of the power that ‘word
of mouth’ can bring about...
A few years ago a couple
of my close friends and I were talking
casually; I simply mentioned a couple
of good experiences with bidding on items
at eBay. Within a few weeks both of these
guys (who hadn’t been shopping online
before) were at eBay placing their bids.
One of these two guys also began listing
his own auctions soon after. I wasn’t
even recommending that they shop or sell
on eBay, I
only mentioned my experiences.
Word of mouth works that way with
anything…
I suppose this is why so
many experienced marketers talk about
the power of word of mouth. Word of mouth
is truly great!
